Mohammed Salah Crowned PFA Premier League Player of the Year for the third time, wearing the RM74-02 Tourbillon whilst his teammates rocked Audemars Piguet & Patek Philippe as we display 5 of the best timepieces worn at the PFA Awards Ceremony
On Tuesday, the PFA Premier League Awards took place with Liverpool forward, Mohammed Salah being crowned as the PFA Men’s Player of the Year becoming the first player to win the title 3 times which was fully deserved after his stellar premier league campaign last season.
Whilst holding his trophy, it went unnoticed that he wore an incredible Richard Mille on his wrist, but the Egyptian wasn’t the only one spotted wearing an exquisite timepiece, but also many others including his fellow teammates Virgil Van Dijk and Alex Mac Allister along with Arsenal’s Declan Rice and the Young Player of the Year winner, Morgan Rogers.
Mohammed Salah & Richard Mille Tourbillon in Gold Quartz TPT, Reference RM74-02

Starting with Mohammed Salah who was spotted wearing the incredible RM 74-02 Tourbillon in Gold Quartz TPT. This is more than a watch; it's a statement piece, featuring an 18K yellow gold and Carbon TPT case and a skeletonised dial showcasing the beautiful Calibre CRMT5 which is Richard Mille’s in-house automatic tourbillon movement.
The RM 74-02 combines high-tech materials with intricate horological engineering, reflecting Salah's explosive and precise playstyle, a watch to be worn by a champion! This isn’t the first Richard Mille watch Salah has been caught wearing as when signing his new 2-year contract in April, the Premier League Player of the Year rocked the bright and bold blue ceramic RM65-01Split Seconds Chronograph. We wonder what the next Richard Mille watch he will wear, could there potentially be a partnership on the rise?
Virgil Van Dijk & Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked in Stainless Steel, Reference 26735ST.OO.1320ST.01

On to his teammate and captain of Liverpool, Virgil Van Dijk who is known to be a collector of Audemars Piguet watches, was seen wearing the special Royal oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Openworked in stainless steel. This reference 26735ST was released to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Royal Oak and it features a skeletonised dial that showcases the Calibre 2972.
Through the open caseback, there is a rotor saying “50 years” to reinforce the commemoration of the Royal Oak’s anniversary. Overall, this is a very sporty piece which is the Royal Oak’s origin and purpose making this the perfect anniversary piece, deserved to be worn by one of football’s best centre backs to play the beautiful game.

Alex Mac Allister & Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar, Reference 5740/1G-001

The third and final Liverpool player to feature in this list is Alex Mac Allister who opted for the highly sought after Patek Philippe Nautilus Perpetual Calendar in white gold. This is the reference 5740/1G with the elegant blue dial that oozes class, combining sports and luxury perfectly.
Every horological enthusiast knows that the perpetual calendar is one of the greatest complications to feature in a watch but to make it cool can be a challenge. When applied to the Nautilus, it is a perfect answer to make complicated watches look stylish, classy and sexy!
Declan Rice & Rolex Daytona “Le Mans” in 18CT Yellow Gold, Reference 126528LN

Up next is Arsenal’s Declan Rice who was caught wearing the Rolex Daytona “Le Mans” in yellow gold. The Rolex Daytona is the brand’s most prestigious and sought after model, but when the Crown released the 126529LN “Le Mans” in 2023, the watch world froze in awe of this piece. Last year, Rolex discontinued the white gold reference and replaced it with an off-catalogue yellow gold “Le Mans” model reference 126528LN.
Unlike other Daytona models, there is an open case back displaying the exclusive Calibre 4132; a movement applied to the off-catalogue “Le Mans” models only. Clearly, Declan Rice is a proven VIP Rolex client as off-catalogue Rolex watches are only accessed by the brand’s biggest spenders. This yellow gold “Le Mans” was discontinued this year and fetches up to a premium on the secondary market.
Morgan Rogers & Patek Philippe Cubitus in Rose Gold, Reference 7128/1R-001

Ending with the Young Player of the year, Morgan Rogers who wore the newly released Patek Philippe Cubitus in rose gold with a sunburst brown dial, reference 7128/1R. The Cubitus was released towards the end of last year gaining a lot of controversy from enthusiasts due to the lack of creativity and innovation - two aspects embedded in Patek’s identity. Despite this, the Cubitus has admirers with Rogers being one of them as he has opted for the newly released model in rose gold.
The Cubitus gets its name from the square shaped case size, utilising the Nautilus by including the beautiful integrated bracelet and sporty aesthetic. This reference of the Cubitus is smaller than the three unveiled last year to introduce the new range, featuring a 40mm case size in comparison to 44mm. Currently, this reference 7128/1R is trading for over double the retail price on the grey market proving all of its critics wrong.
