NFL Icon, Tom Brady made an appearance at the 59th annual Super Bowl that took place in the early hours of the morning. These huge events provide the opportunity for superstars and celebrities to showcase horological magic on their wrists. This was the case for the seven-time Super Bowl winner, Tom Brady who was spotted wearing the Jacob & Co. Yellow Sapphire Caviar Tourbillon worth $740,000!

Known to collect luxury timepieces with some of the most sought after pieces obtained by the athlete, this beautiful Jacob & Co. piece is an addition to his collection. Recently, Brady sold multiple timepieces at a Sotheby’s auction called “The GOAT Collection: Watches and Treasures from Tom Brady” which took place in December last year.

The auction included some extremely sought after vintage pieces like the Rolex Daytona Paul Newman ‘John Player Special’ reference 6241 which sold for over $1 million! In fact, the watches sold at the auction totalled to $4.6 million meaning he is more than able to invest his earnings back into some new timepieces.

Jacob & Co. are known for expanding the horizon and capabilities of horological creation which is no different with this Caviar Tourbillon model. Limited to just 18 pieces, consisting a 44mm case size that is crafted in 18K rose gold, this features 216 components demonstrating solid craftsmanship whilst also showcasing extremely high gem-setting skill.

 There are 224 brilliant-cut yellow sapphire gemstones set into the case and 130 brilliant-cut yellow sapphire gemstones incorporated into the dial. Additionally, there are 338 brilliant-cut diamonds applied into the movement- a display of a true masterpiece.

Benjamin Arabov, CEO of Jacob & Co. and son of founder Jacob Arabov, made a press statement complimenting Brady, calling him “the epitome of excellence, both on and off the field.” Following this further by saying they are “honoured to have him represent the artistry and craftsmanship behind every piece we create.”

This Caviar Tourbillon worn by Brady may have caught fans off guard as he is known to possess historical timepieces or models that contain deeper meaning. Of course, the result of the Super Bowl has prioritised headlines, but Brady has pathed his way into the news by simply wearing this Jacob & Co. piece.
