1. Rolex Cosmograph Daytona "Paul Newman"

The headline watch. Robb Report's analysis of the photographs noted a black acrylic bezel and what appear to be pump style pushers rather than screw down ones, which narrows the watch to reference 6241 or 6264. Nobody has pinned the exact reference, and Reynolds has not commented. What is certain is the money involved. Robb Report reports that Reynolds has been spotted in a Datograph Up/Down Lumen, the Glashütte manufacture's flagship flyback chronograph fitted with a semi transparent smoked sapphire dial and luminous elements that turn the whole display into a night time light show. The Résonance is François-Paul Journe's signature complication: two independent balance wheels mounted close enough that they synchronise through natural resonance, a phenomenon Journe spent years turning into a reliable wristwatch. It is about as intellectually serious as watchmaking gets, and demand for Journe has run far ahead of supply for most of the past decade.

Bernhard Lederer is a German born independent watchmaker and a member of the AHCI, the academy of independent creators, since 1985, with four decades spent refining escapements in pursuit of chronometric precision. Reynolds' piece is from a 2025 release by Lederer's atelier, and his caption admitted that staring at it made him realise he knows nothing about watchmaking, now and forever.

That is the collector's disease in one sentence. Lederer production is tiny, the clientele is mostly other watchmakers and hardcore enthusiasts, and almost nobody outside that world would recognise one on a wrist. Wearing it anyway is the strongest evidence yet that Reynolds is collecting for himself rather than for photographers.

6. Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch in Moonshine Gold
