Celebrity ambassadors are essential for every brand, as ultimately, a celebrity’s influence on the world is very impactful. For Rolex, a celebrity simply wearing one of the brand’s watches will have the horological world excited, with fanatics and reporters influenced massively to either buy the same watch or write an article on it.
Also, a celebrity can even have such an impact that a watch is named after them. Apart from Roger Federer and Yuja Wang, DiCaprio was seen wearing the Land-Dweller before anybody else at CinemaCon 2025. Roger Federer is one of Rolex’s most iconic brand ambassadors, having been part of the Crown’s Family since 2001. Two years after becoming a brand ambassador, Federer won his first Grand Slam trophy at Wimbledon aged just 21. Since joining on board, Federer became one of tennis’s greatest ever players, winning 20 Grand Slams, including eight Wimbledon trophies. This partnership is perfect as Rolex’s brand identity reflects Federer’s playing style and personality of elegance, efficiency and class.

Zendaya is the newest member of Rolex’s family, recently joining the brand’s Testimonee team in October 2025. The move was announced on social media, which was met with celebration from the actress’s fans. This demonstrates Rolex’s attempt to reel in younger audiences, understanding social media attraction and Zendaya’s influence on Gen-Z viewers. Zendaya is a great fit for Rolex because of her versatility in performances, such as Rue Bennett in Euphoria, to MJ in Spider-Man and her success in film, winning an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.

When featuring as a coach on the TV show ‘The Voice’, Bublé was spotted wearing an off-catalogue Daytona reference 126598LN, which is known as the “Yellow Gold Le Mans”. In 2023, Rolex released the reference 126529LN in 18ct white gold to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Rolex and the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours Le Mans endurance race, which is where the model got its “Le Mans” nickname. Notably, the white gold Daytona “Le Mans” wasn’t an off-catalogue piece, but it was incredibly rare, lasting only one year in production and replaced by this stunning 18ct yellow gold model.

Nico Rosberg is the first celebrity to appear in this list whose career background comes from Formula One. Rosberg is one of Formula One’s finest drivers, who, most notably, won an FIA Formula One World Championship in 2016, followed by his surprising retirement. Rosberg’s watch of choice is the sought-after Rolex Submariner reference 116610LV, nicknamed the “Hulk”. In 2010, Rolex released the Submariner reference 116610LV, which features an all-green colourway incorporated for the bezel and dial, which makes clear sense as to why enthusiasts gave this model the “Hulk” nickname. Lasting 10 years in production, the Submariner “Hulk” was discontinued and has since become a collector’s favourite, appearing in our most investable Rolex watches of 2025 and top 20 Rolex nicknames.
Carlos Alcaraz & Rolex Daytona Reference 126598LN “Tiffany”
It is clear that Rolex adores the tennis world, sponsoring numerous tournaments like Wimbledon, so it is no surprise that we see one of the sport’s most prominent stars in Carlos Alcaraz, part of the brand’s ambassadorship. Alcaraz joined Rolex’s family in January 2022 and, since then, the Spaniard has won a total of 24 ATP Tour singles titles, including six Grand Slams, and he is only 22 years old!
Alcaraz’s watch of choice is this year’s release, the Rolex Daytona reference 126598LN, nicknamed the “Tiffany”. At Watches and Wonders 2025, Rolex unveiled this Daytona in 18ct yellow gold on an Oysterflex bracelet with a beautiful turquoise dial with popping black sub-dials. Whenever this shade of blue is used for a watch, the “Tiffany” nickname is obtained immediately because of the colour’s connection with the brand Tiffany&Co.. Importantly, this is not an official collaboration between Rolex and Tiffany & Co.; it is simply a nickname given to the watch by fanatics.
Yuja Wang & Rolex Land-Dweller 36 Reference 127285TBR
Yuja Wang is a Chinese-born American classical pianist who is known for her technical brilliance, captivating stage presence and breathtaking performances. Wang’s career is a musician’s dream, notably winning a Grammy Award for Best Classical Instrumental Solo in 2023 for her album The American Project . Wang has served as a Rolex ambassador since 2009, participating in the Rolex Ambassadors Gala, showing her dedication to the brand.
Joining Roger Federer in Rolex’s social media advertisement of the Land-Dweller was Yuji Wang, who wore the reference 127285TBR. This reference is the Land-Dweller 36, meaning the model includes a 36mm case size and is crafted out of Rolex’s patented 18ct Everose gold. Like Federer’s Land-Dweller 40, Wang’s Land-Dweller 36 features the white honeycomb dial, but adding some sparkle to her watch is the addition of a trapeze-cut diamond-set bezel and baguette-cut diamond hour markers.

Ccoc Gauff is one of the female tennis’ biggest stars right now, winning two Grand Slams and picking up numerous other ATP Tour Singles Titles. The current WTA number three joined the Rolex family in 2019, when she was just 15 years old! To show her dedication to the brand, Gauff also participated in the “Reach for the Crown” initiative.

When winning her French Open 2025, Coco Gauff wore the Rolex Oyster Perpetual 36 reference 116000, featuring the red grape dial. The 116000 reference of the Oyster Perpetual was first produced in 2008, discontinuing in 2020, and here Gauff wore it with the desirable purple, commonly referred to as the “Red Grape” dial. The second F1 driver to feature in this list is retired Australian driver Mark Webber, who became a Rolex Testimonee in 2017. The final tennis player to appear in this list is Jannik Sinner, who, like Carlos Alcaraz, is currently one of the sport’s biggest stars. The Italian actually became a Rolex ambassador before Carlos Alcaraz did, signing with the brand in 2020. Since 2020, Sinner has won 24 ATP Tour singles titles, picking up four Grand Slams, including his first Wimbledon trophy this year, beating Alcaraz in the final.
When lifting his Wimbledon trophy, Sinner was spotted wearing the Rolex Daytona reference 126515LN with the beautiful Sundust dial. Crafted out of 18ct Everose gold, this Daytona model is worn comfortably with the Oysterflex bracelet and features a matching rose coloured dial called the Sundust dial. It is not often that a celebrity’s watch plays a huge role in the nickname of a watch, as the majority of nicknames are created by the horological community. This watch is now commonly referred to as the Daytona “Sundust”, purely due to Sinner wearing the model’s configuration.
Martin Scorsese & Rolex Day-Date 228238
Coveted filmmaker, Martin Scorsese, officially became a Rolex Testimonee in 2017, but the partnership between Scorsese and Rolex had long been built up before, serving as a mentor for the brand’s Rolex Mentor and Protégé Arts Initiative in 2008. The Crown provides support to Scorsese’s non-profit organisation, The Film Foundation, a touching tribute from Rolex to highlight the relationship between the pair.

Due to this, Stewart was awarded a knighthood for both his successful career and work post-retirement.

Sir Jackie Stewart is also a huge fan of the Day-Date, seen wearing a very beautiful and mesmerising piece. The legendary drive was spotted wearing the Rolex Day-Date reference 118138, which was unveiled at Baselworld in 2013, then discontinued in 2019. Sticking true to the model’s history, this reference is crafted out of 18ct yellow gold and features the 36mm case size. Interestingly, this is worn with a green alligator leather strap, which is no longer offered by Rolex. This is a truly beautiful configuration, one that we don’t see very often.
Of course, Rolex do have more celebrity ambassadors, and it will be very interesting to see who else the Crown adds to their roster in the new year, with big names like Leonardo DiCaprio and Zendaya joining this year. Will we see more filmmaking stars or new upcoming athletes? We will have to wait and see what is in store for Rolex’s plans next year.
