Custom Audemars Piguet straps made for Royal Oak and Offshore
Every strap in this collection is a custom Audemars Piguet strap handmade to fit the Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore case geometry. The pieces are built on our bench at Time 4 Diamonds in London, using exotic python leather, high-grade rubber and vegetable-tanned calfskin, with integrated end-pieces cut to the lug profile of each reference. This solves the common owner problem: a factory rubber that has tired after a few years, or a leather option that is not sold at retail in the colourway you want.
Royal Oak Offshore owners make up the majority of our fittings, reflected in the stock split: over 90 ready-to-ship options for the Offshore, and a smaller curated range for the slimmer Royal Oak case. Straps ship with an OEM-spec deployant or tang buckle on request, finished with hand-stitched seams and edge paint matched to dial or bezel accents.
Fitment by reference
Strap compatibility on Audemars Piguet is dictated by lug width, case thickness and integrated end-piece shape, not model name. The table below covers the fitments most commonly requested by clients, and matches the majority of the stock held in this collection.

Materials and finishes
The main ranges in the collection break down as follows:
- Python leather. The dominant range at £295. Hand-selected skins, matte or semi-gloss finish, colourways including white, yellow, turquoise, tropical, red, orange and natural black. Each strap is unique because scale patterns never repeat.
- Rubber. Cut for the Royal Oak Offshore 42mm and 44mm. Heavier grade than most aftermarket rubber, tested for wrist sweat and UV without the tackiness that plagues older OEM rubber.
- Calfskin and alligator. For the slimmer Royal Oak references. Padded or ultra-thin profiles, hand-stitched, paired with contrasting or tonal edge paint.
- Hybrid. Rubber base with leather topside, for daily-wear durability with a dressier face.
Full bespoke, beyond the collection
This page lists what we hold in stock. If you want a strap in a colour, hide or specification we do not currently show, the full bespoke customisation service covers exotic hides that are not in the in-stock range, custom stitching contrast, coloured deployant buckles and PVD or DLC-coated hardware. Lead time on a commission is typically three to four weeks.
Owners who are already running a custom AP dial or modified bezel often pair a strap to match, which is simple to spec because dial, bezel and strap are handled in the same workshop.
Professional fitting and aftercare
A custom strap is only as good as the fit. We fit straps in-house at the London showroom, which includes setting the integrated end-pieces flush, tensioning the spring bars correctly and checking clearance on the case flank so no rubbing occurs. For international clients, straps ship with a fitting guide and can be fitted by any competent watchmaker. For anything more involved, our watch servicing team can handle the work alongside a full service.
Audemars Piguet strap FAQs
What strap size does the Royal Oak Offshore 42mm take?
The 26470 Royal Oak Offshore takes a 28mm lug width at the case, tapering to 24mm at the buckle. Straps cut for other case sizes will not sit flush against the integrated end-piece.
Can I fit a non-AP strap to my Royal Oak?
Yes, provided the strap is cut with an AP-profile integrated end-piece. A standard straight-end aftermarket strap will leave visible gaps against the Royal Oak lug and is not recommended.
Are these Audemars Piguet factory parts?
No. These are custom straps handmade at Time 4 Diamonds to fit Audemars Piguet cases. We do not resell branded factory parts on this page.
How long does a python leather strap last?
Daily wear life on python is typically two to three years before the scales show surface wear. Rotation with a second strap extends this considerably.
Can you match the strap colour to my dial?
Yes. Send a clear image of the dial through the contact page and we will match edge paint, stitching and, where possible, leather colour. Full colour matching is handled through the bespoke service.
Do you ship Audemars Piguet straps internationally?
Yes. We ship worldwide, with a significant part of our strap orders going to clients in the Middle East and Europe. Duties and local taxes are the client's responsibility.
Can I trade in my original AP rubber strap?
We do not take factory straps in part-exchange, but worn OEM rubber can be returned to Audemars Piguet directly if you want to preserve the original setup for resale.
