The Rolex Datejust 41 is the largest and most modern version of Rolex's most recognisable everyday watch. Introduced in 2016 to replace the thicker Datejust II, it pairs a refined 41mm Oyster case with the current-generation calibre 3235 movement. Time 4 Diamonds stocks pre-owned Datejust 41 references, each authenticated by our watchmakers and sold with a warranty from our London showroom.
The Rolex Datejust 41 explained
The Datejust 41 took the classic Datejust formula, the date at three under a Cyclops lens, the fluted or smooth bezel, the choice of Oyster or Jubilee bracelet, and scaled it to a contemporary 41mm. Compared with the Datejust II it replaced, the case has slimmer lugs and a more elegant profile, so it wears its size well. The move to calibre 3235 brought a 70-hour power reserve, the Chronergy escapement and the Parachrom hairspring for better resistance to shocks and magnetism.
The best-known variant is the Wimbledon dial: a slate grey face with green Roman numerals that references Rolex's long association with the Wimbledon Championships, a partnership dating to 1978. It sits alongside a wide dial menu including blue, black, silver, mint green and Azzurro blue.
Rolex Datejust 41 references and specifications
| Reference | Configuration |
|---|---|
| 126300 | Oystersteel, smooth steel bezel |
| 126334 | White Rolesor, 18ct white gold fluted bezel |
| 126333 | Yellow Rolesor, 18ct yellow gold fluted bezel |

All four share a 41mm Oyster case, the calibre 3235 movement with a 70-hour power reserve, Superlative Chronometer accuracy of minus two to plus two seconds per day, and water resistance to 100 metres. Both the three-link Oyster and five-link Jubilee bracelets use the Oysterclasp with the Easylink 5mm comfort extension.
Buying a pre-owned Rolex Datejust 41
The Datejust 41 offers one of the broadest configuration ranges in the Rolex catalogue, so the right choice comes down to bezel, dial and bracelet. We check dial originality, bracelet stretch and clasp condition on every piece before listing. If you want a specific dial such as the Wimbledon, our team can advise on current stock or locate one for you.
For a smaller case in the same family, see the 36mm Rolex Datejust 36. Buyers drawn to a precious-metal alternative often look at the Rolex Day-Date 40. You can also browse a wider selection of Rolex dials or the full range of Rolex watches.
