Adding titanium to the ceramic before firing shifts the colour to a warm gunmetal grey and lifts the surface hardness close to that of sapphire, so the finish resists the fine scratches that steel picks up within weeks. Because the colour is in the material rather than a coating, it will not wear through at the edges of the links.

The result sits somewhere between a steel sports watch and a ceramic dress piece. In daylight the bracelet reads as brushed titanium. Under artificial light the polished edges flash the way ceramic does.
