The Rolex GMT-Master II is the watch that built the dual-time complication into a design icon, worn first by Pan Am pilots and now one of the most sought-after steel sports Rolex models on the market. Our collection covers pre-owned, unworn and custom diamond-set GMT-Master II references, every piece authenticated and ready to ship from our London showroom.
The Rolex GMT-Master II collection
We carry the current 40mm 126710 generation alongside the previous 116710 references and two-tone 116713 models. Stock spans the steel Oyster and Jubilee bracelet versions, Everose and yellow gold variants, and custom diamond and gem-set builds done in our own workshop.
Recurring stock includes the steel 126710BLNR Batman on Jubilee and Oyster, the black-and-grey 126710GRNR, the black-bezel 116710LN, the Everose 126715CHNR and the steel-and-Everose 126711CHNR. Custom work covers diamond-set bezels, full diamond-set cases and bespoke coloured bezels in blue, green emerald and yellow gold.
Pepsi, Batman, Sprite and Root Beer
The GMT-Master II is known by the nicknames given to its two-tone bezel colourways, and these drive most buyer searches. The blue and red Pepsi is the original, tracing back to the 1955 GMT-Master. The blue and black Batman arrived on the 116710BLNR in 2013. The green and black Sprite is the 126720VTNR, released in 2022 as the first left-handed GMT with the crown at 9 o'clock. The black and grey 126710GRNR followed at Watches and Wonders 2024. Root Beer refers to the brown and gold two-tone, revived in ceramic on the Everose 126711CHNR.
Each colourway uses a Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert with a 24-hour scale, which lets the fourth hand and rotating bezel track a second and third time zone. The nicknames are collector shorthand rather than Rolex model names, but they are how the market refers to each reference.
Pre-owned, unworn and custom
Our GMT-Master II stock splits across three formats. Pre-owned pieces are fully serviced and authenticated, offered as a value route into references that carry long waiting lists at retail. Unworn examples are current-production watches in as-new condition. Custom builds take a genuine Rolex GMT-Master II and add diamond-set bezels, full case settings or bespoke coloured bezels, set and fitted in our London workshop.
Every watch is authenticated before sale and backed by our warranty. Buyers wanting a custom diamond bezel on an existing GMT can also brief that work directly through our Rolex bezels collection.
Buying a Rolex GMT-Master II at Time 4 Diamonds
Every GMT-Master II is authenticated in-house, serviced where required and supplied with our warranty. UK delivery is next-day and fully insured. International shipping runs via FedEx. Middle East clients typically buy over WhatsApp, and UK buyers over email or in person at our London showroom on More London Riverside.
For other Rolex sports and professional models, see our full Rolex watches collection, or brief a fully bespoke piece through our bespoke watches service.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Rolex GMT-Master and GMT-Master II?
The GMT-Master II, introduced in the early 1980s, lets the hour hand be set independently of the 24-hour hand, so the watch can track three time zones at once. The original GMT-Master tracked two. All current production is GMT-Master II.
What are the Pepsi, Batman and Sprite nicknames?
They are collector names for the two-tone Cerachrom bezels: Pepsi is blue and red, Batman is blue and black, Sprite is the green and black left-handed 126720VTNR. They are collector shorthand, not Rolex model names.
Do you sell pre-owned and unworn GMT-Master II watches?
Both. Pre-owned pieces are serviced and authenticated. Unworn examples are current-production watches in as-new condition. We also build custom diamond-set GMT-Master II watches in our workshop.
Is the GMT-Master II a good investment?
Steel sports Rolex references such as the GMT-Master II have historically held value well and carry retail waiting lists, which supports the pre-owned market. Watch values can fall as well as rise, so any purchase should be made as a watch first.
