This page covers the custom Chanel J12 dials we hold, from black and Arabic numeral dials to diamond and baguette settings. The J12 has been built around ceramic since Jacques Helleu designed it in 2000. The dial is as much a part of that identity as the case and bracelet. Changing the dial changes how the watch reads without altering the case. Time 4 Diamonds has worked with J12 cases since 2005 and sets every custom dial by hand in our London workshop.

Chanel J12 dials we stock

All of the J12 dials here are made to order rather than factory parts. The range covers four styles: plain black, Arabic numeral, diamond hour markers and full baguette diamond setting. Each dial is cut for a specific J12 size, so the case diameter and movement need to match. We hold dials for the 33mm, 38mm and 41mm Chanel J12. Diamond and baguette J12 dials

The diamond dials are the centrepiece of this collection. The baguette dial uses rectangular step-cut diamonds for a flat, architectural line and is made for the 33mm J12. The diamond hour marker dial keeps the J12 face cleaner, with stones set only at the hour positions. It is cut for the 38mm. Both are set by hand in house. Black and Arabic numeral J12 dials

For a change without diamonds, the plain black dial for the 41mm J12 is the simplest route. The Arabic numeral dials are the other main option, made for the 38mm J12 in two colourways: white numerals on a black dial and black numerals on a white dial. These are popular with our Middle East clients, where WhatsApp is the easiest way to confirm the layout you want.

Custom dials by J12 size

A J12 dial has to match the exact reference it is going into. The dial feet, the date aperture position and the movement all differ between quartz and automatic J12 models and between sizes. We currently hold dials for the 33mm, 38mm and 41mm. Confirm your reference and movement before ordering. If the configuration you want is not listed, our watch customisation service can quote a bespoke dial for it.

How the order process works

We confirm your J12 reference, size and the dial you want, set or finish the dial by hand and fit it to your watch or supply the finished dial for fitting elsewhere. Lead time depends on the dial. Frequently asked questions

Can you fit a diamond dial to my Chanel J12?

Yes. We make a baguette diamond dial for the 33mm J12 and a diamond hour marker dial for the 38mm, both set by hand. We can fit the dial in our workshop or supply it for fitting elsewhere.

Do you sell factory or custom Chanel dials?

All of our J12 dials are custom, made to order. We do not supply factory Chanel dials. If you need a factory part, that has to come through Chanel directly.

What sizes of Chanel J12 dial do you cover?

We currently hold dials for the 33mm, 38mm and 41mm J12. Each dial is cut for one size and movement, so the reference needs to match.

Can I get an Arabic numeral dial for my J12?

Yes. We make Arabic numeral dials for the 38mm J12 in two colourways: white numerals on a black dial and black numerals on a white dial.

Does a custom dial affect my Chanel warranty?

A custom or aftermarket dial is outside the manufacturer warranty and changes the watch from its original specification, which affects resale to buyers who want unaltered pieces. Many owners accept this for a one-off look.
