From McIlroy's Speedmaster "Silver Snoopy" to Rose's Patek Philippe Nautilus, we unveil the watches worn by Team Eruope's winning Ryder Cup 2025 side.
The Ryder Cup is one of the most prestigious sporting events where Europe and USA round up their best golfers and face each other in a continental battle across three days to prove who has the best golfing team in the world.
On Sunday, we saw Team Europe lift the Ryder Cup 2025 trophy in a dominant display across 2⁄3 's of the competition with USA almost equalling the score on the final day. Team Europe features some of the world’s greatest players like Masters 2025 champion Rory McIlroy and the highly coveted Justin Rose.
Also part of the team are ambassadors for horological brands meaning they have access to some very rare and exclusive timepieces. So here we spot the watches worn by almost every team member of Europe’s winning side.
Luke Donald & Rolex Datejust 41 126333

Team Europe’s captain Luke Donald became only the second European captain to win the Ryder Cup both home and away. During this year’s Ryder Cup, Donald was spotted wearing the Rolex Datejust 41 reference 126333.

- ▪Modern archetype of the classic watch
- ▪Rolex Warranty
- ▪Automatic Movement
This is a very unusual yet simple configuration in a two tone of 18CT yellow gold and stainless steel with Donald opting for the fluted bezel, Oyster bracelet and silver dial. Clearly, Donald has an acquired taste and prefers to have a watch of his own instead of cultured picks that others would tend to go for.
Rory McIlroy & Omega Speedmaster Anniversary Series “Silver Snoopy Award”

When picking up his first ever Masters trophy finally seizing the opportunity to wear the famous green jacket, Rory McIlroy wore a special Omega Speedmaster part of their Anniversary Series.
To commemorate 50 years since Omega’s Silver Snoopy award, the Swiss luxury brand released the Speedmast “Silver Snoopy Award in 2020. Omega received this award for their contribution to NASA’s space exploration during the Apollo 13 mission in 1970.
This piece features a 42mm stainless steel case with a blue ceramic tachymetric bezel with a beautiful white dial and popping blue sub-dials including a Snoopy medallion in the sub-dial located at 9 o’clock. Yet the most distinctive part of the watch is the caseback. An animated Snoopy is depicted in his CSM (Command and Service Module) which moves when the chronograph function is in use.
Omega smashed this release, known for its beautiful legacy and aesthetics and although this isn’t a limited edition watch, it is highly sought after and exclusive with values on the secondary market trading above the retail price of £10,000!
This is very impressive considering Omega watches typically have low investment potential and depreciate in value. But owning a watch shouldn’t be about investment, it should be about celebrating a timepiece which is perfect for this Omega Speedmaster.
Justin Rose & Patek Philippe Nautilus 3711/1G

Whilst being a spectator at Wimbledon, Justin Rose was spotted wearing a model from the legendary Patek Philippe Nautilus collection, the 3711/1G with the black dial. Before the extremely sought after 5711/1A, Patek released this reference 3711/1G which is known as the “Jumbo” due to the model’s 42mm case size and heavier weight being crafted out of 18CT yellow gold.

Many would think that this is a Nautilus 5711/1A but Patek never released a black dial with this reference, only a blue, white and green dial, so therefore, it must be the white gold 3711/1G. Rose is wearing a rare Nautilus, part of a limited release during 2004 and 2006 in which it is estimated that only 200 pieces were produced. Due to this, it is viewed as a strong collector’s piece because of the model’s rarity and elegant configuration.
Tommy Fleetwood & Tag Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golf Edition

PGA Tour 2025 champion Tommy Fleetwood is an ambassador for Tag Heuer and he famously wears the Swiss brand’s smartwatch which comes with a golfing app specifically designed to enhance golfing performances.
Despite this watch’s big 45mm case size, it is fairly thin and is crafted out of titanium which is a very lightweight material perfect for Fleetwood’s golf swing. This smartwatch is very sporty with a sandblasted DLC coating applied to the titanium case, worn comfortably with a white rubber strap which is ideal for sports watches.
Shane Lowry & Patek Philippe Complications World Time 5231G

Irish golfer Shane Lowry has been spotted wearing many different timepieces, probably enough to consider Lowry possessing a watch collection. The one we have picked out is the Patek Philippe World Time reference 5231G which was seen on his wrist very recently holding the Ryder Cup trophy Team Europe won on the weekend.
In 2019, Patek Philippe introduced the 5231 reference but this white gold model in particular was produced three years later. This model is very impressive with the ability to tell the time of all 24 timezones displaying a 24-hour-ring and city disc. Additionally, this features a mesmerising Grand Feu cloissoné enamel dial which requires meticulous craftsmanship due to the lengthy process in creating the enamel dial.
Rasmus Højgaard & Omega Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition

Like McIlroy, young Danish golfer Rasmus Højgaard has an Omega sponsorship and was spotted wearing the Seamaster Diver 300M which was released in 2020. Omega produced this piece that replicates the model worn in No Time To Die, featuring actor Daniel Craig as James Bond who was involved in the making of this watch.
Powering this titanium piece is the Omega 8806 calibre, housed by a 42mm case fit for James Bond’s character and Høgaard’s golfing. Similar to the Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award” watch we explored earlier, this is not a limited edition watch but what is different with this 007 edition is the secondary market prices with values falling under retail price.
Tyrrell Hatton & Rolex GMT-Master II 126711CHNR

Whilst spectating at Wimbledon last year, Tyrrell Hatton was spotted wearing the in-demand Rolex GMT-Master II “Root-Beer.” Since 2018, Hatton has been an Audemars Piguet ambassador part of their “Dream Team” of golfers which is strange to see the English golfer wear a Rolex watch. Whilst it is almost tradition to wear a Rolex at Wimbledon, typically celebrity ambassadors tend to rep the brand they are part of no matter the occasion.

Nevertheless, Hatton went for the Rolex GMT-Master II reference 126711CHNR which is also known as the “Root-Beer.” This two-tone piece features the beautiful brown-black bezel, black dial and Oyster bracelet which is one of the most sought after configurations in the current GMT collection. Part of the GMT-Master II is the dual-time function allowing the wearer to display two timezones simultaneously.
Viktor Hovland & Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar 26579CB

Like Tyrrell Hatton, Norwegian golfer Viktor Hovland is part of Audemars Piguet’s golfing ambassadorship. After winning the BMW Championship 2023 shooting a course record of 61, Hovland was pictured holding his trophy wearing the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in white ceramic.

Following the black ceramic Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar in 2017, Audemars Piguet released a white ceramic version in 2019 that was highly exclusive and is, now, no longer in production. Despite the complexity of the perpetual calendar, this Royal Oak QP is fairly light and ultra-thin, all thanks to the insanely durable white ceramic material and Audemars Piguet’s Caliber 5134.
Matt Fitzpatrick & Rolex Milgauss 116400GV

Matt Fitzpatrick was spotted wearing the Rolex Milgauss reference 116400GV during this Ryder Cup, a watch created for scientists. The Rolex Milgauss is a collector and enthusiast’s favourite due to the model’s unique aesthetic and function. Powered by the Calibre 3131, this Rolex movement is resistant to magnetic fields of up to 1,000 gauss which massively beats standard movements that can be compromised by magnetic fields ranging between 50 to 100 gauss.

- ▪Oyster bracelet with fold over clasp

What is extremely distinctive about the Milgauss is the green-tinted sapphire crystal glass which is referred to in the model’s reference number through the letters "GV" (Glase Verte.) Also part of Fitzpatrick's Milgauss is the “Z-Blue” dial which pops vibrantly due to its sunburst finish. This model was discontinued in 2023, appearing on our five best and most affordable watches to collect in 2025.
Jon Rahm & Rolex Sky-Dweller 336934

Finally is Spaniard John Rahm who was spotted wearing the Rolex Sky-Dweller whilst lifting his LIV Championship 2025 trophy in August. In 2012, the Crown unveiled the Sky-Dweller and the configuration Rahm is wearing is one of the most sought after models in the Sky-Dweller collection. This reference 336934 is crafted in Rolesor of 18CT white gold and stainless steel featuring the Oyster bracelet and blue dial.

The Sky-Dweller is packed with the annual calendar and dual time functions. Then, there is the dual time function, set through the use of the 24-hour disc. The Sky-Dweller is officially Rolex’s most complicated model to have ever been released.
Ludvig Åberg & Rolex GMT-Master II 126710GRNR

Ludvig Åberg was part of Europe’s Ryder Cup 2023 win, making this the Swede’s second Ryder Cup trophy to add to his cabinet. During the celebrations, Åberg was spotted wearing the Rolex GMT-Master II reference 126710GRNR.

Released at Watches and Wonders 2024, the GMT-Master II reference 126710GRNR was an instant hit, quickly obtaining the “Bruce Wayne” nickname adding to the ever-growing pool of other GMT nicknames. This is due to the grey-black bezel which was new to the stainless steel model, having been part of the two-tone steel and yellow gold reference 126713GRNR and full yellow gold reference 126718GRNR.
As golf players are able to take home winnings of up to millions and millions of pounds, it is no surprise that they’re spotted wearing some of the most sought after and rare timepieces. What is your favourite watch owned by Europe’s winning team of 2025, is it Hovland’s white ceramic Royal Oak QP or even McIlroy’s Speedmaster “Silver Snoopy Award?”
