Self-Winding Watchmaking at Its Highest Level
An automatic watch winds itself from the motion of your wrist. A weighted rotor turns as you move, tensioning the mainspring that powers the movement, so the watch runs continuously for as long as you wear it. No battery, no daily winding, just mechanical engineering refined over more than a century. Every watch in this collection carries a self-winding mechanical calibre from one of the great Swiss houses.
The collection spans the benchmarks of modern watchmaking. Every current Rolex runs a Perpetual automatic calibre, the family of movements that gave the brand its name and its reputation for accuracy, with current calibres certified to minus two/plus two seconds per day. Audemars Piguet builds its self-winding Royal Oak calibres with open casebacks that show the finishing work most owners never tire of. Patek Philippe automatic movements carry the Patek Philippe Seal, a standard stricter than chronometer certification. Alongside them sit self-winding pieces from Cartier, Hublot, Franck Muller and Richard Mille.
Why Collectors Choose Automatic Movements
A quartz watch tells the time. An automatic watch earns its place on the wrist through the way it does it: the smooth sweep of the seconds hand, the weight of a solid calibre, the knowledge that hundreds of components are working together beneath the dial. Automatic movements also hold their value in a way quartz rarely does. The pre-owned market prices mechanical watchmaking, and the strongest performers at auction are almost without exception mechanical pieces.
Serviced properly, an automatic movement runs for generations. Our in-house watchmakers trained at Rolex before joining Time 4 Diamonds, and every automatic watch we sell is inspected, regulated and pressure-tested before it leaves our London workshop at 3 More London Riverside.
Buying an Automatic Watch from Time 4 Diamonds
Time 4 Diamonds has dealt in luxury watches since 2005, with showrooms in London and Dubai. Each piece in this collection is authenticated by our workshop and photographed in house, so the watch you see is the watch you receive. If the reference you want is not listed here, our sourcing service finds specific references through our dealer network, typically within 30 days.
For something no one else owns, our bespoke workshop sets diamonds, fits custom dials and applies DLC coatings to automatic watches without compromising the movement. Message us on WhatsApp or visit either showroom to handle any piece in person.
