Fully Iced Watches, Built in Our London Workshop

An iced out watch, also called a bust down, is a luxury watch given full diamond coverage: case, bezel, dial and usually the bracelet, every surface set edge to edge with stones. The base watch is always the real thing. We start with a genuine Rolex, Audemars Piguet or Patek Philippe, then our setters pave it by hand in the London workshop. Nothing in this collection is a replica or a pre-iced import of unknown origin.

That distinction is the whole game in this market. A bust down is only worth what sits underneath the stones, so provenance decides everything: the watch's serial, its movement and its papers must survive the setting work intact. Ours do, because we set into the original case components rather than swapping in aftermarket shells.

How a Bust Down Is Made

The watch is stripped to components. Each case part is mapped, drilled and set by hand with VS clarity stones or better, matched for colour so the coverage reads as one unbroken surface. Dials are rebuilt with pave or baguette layouts, hands and markers included where the design calls for it. The movement never meets the setting bench: it is removed first and refitted after by our watchmakers, including engineers who trained at Rolex, then the finished piece is regulated and pressure-tested before delivery.

The work takes weeks, not days, and the result is a watch that keeps running like the manufacture intended while looking nothing like anyone else's. Popular builds include the fully iced Datejust and Day-Date, bust down Royal Oaks and pave Nautilus pieces, along with Cuban-set bezels and honeycomb patterns for clients who want something beyond standard pave.

Buying or Commissioning an Iced Out Watch

Everything listed here is in stock and ready to view. If your grail is not listed, commission it: choose the base watch, the coverage and the setting style, and the bespoke workshop builds it to order. We can also source the base watch first through our sourcing service, typically within 30 days, then ice it to your spec.

Time 4 Diamonds has built custom diamond watches since 2005 from 3 More London Riverside, with a Dubai showroom serving Middle Eastern clients. Message us on WhatsApp with the build you have in mind and our team will price it the same day.
