When it launched in 1956, the Day-Date was the first wristwatch to show both the date and the day of the week written out in full. The 36mm case is the original format and stayed the only size for nearly fifty years. It wears like a true dress watch: compact under a cuff and unmistakably formal.
The Day-Date has only ever been made in precious metal, never steel.
